R food began life as Richmond Caterers in 1968, of course not with us at the helm. Richmond was one of London’s oldest caterers and succeeded in the over saturated world of the capital’s events operating in many landmark venues to name a few: Syon park, Freemasons Hall and Old Billingsgate. When the industry was ravaged by Covid and a new management partnership was formed we decided to change the trajectory of the business based on our core principles.

Based on the border of Hertfordshire our principles are simple: True Hospitality with total transparency. The events industry doesn’t save lives, protect human rights or maintain society’s safety BUT we do hold a key role in ensuring that people’s happiest and rite of passage days can live forever in their memory.

We create events that we and you can be proud of. A budget of £1000 or £100,000 that’s no problem our skilled chefs and planners will create the perfect menu, style and ambience that suits you… no bullshit, no hidden ‘extras’, what we discuss at your (or our) kitchen table will become a reality. No two people are the same, nor are their visions for an event. We strip away the ‘norms’, ‘fads’ that make events standardised and ensure that each R project is unique.

The food was spectacular, with a variety that catered to every palate. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and the organizers ensured everything ran smoothly. Can't wait for the next one!
